I love the community spirit of GH Library and all the volunteers that gift their time to ensure the library remains open for use. The library has become a weekly social visit for many people and the craft mornings are very much appreciated! Keep up the good work!
Completely agree with Mr Wood's comments.. Well done the volunteers of Glen Parva library, without you the community wouldn't have access to the joy of the written word. You need to be commended for what you do not criticised. Doesn't it take everyone a while to get to grips with a new job? ( unpaid). Thank you and keep up the good work.
Despite the comments of Ms. Robinson this community library run by volunteers hopes to improve as time progresses. The nature of volunteering is that we only have certain times when we are available, in my case one afternoon a fortnight, so it's still a learning curve despite the fact that we've been open now for six months. Yes, it is staffed mainly by older people because older people generally have the spare time to put something back into the community. You might have to wait a while for us to sort out your library card but we do strive to do our best. So instead of posting negative reviews Ms. Robinson how about calling in and putting your name down to do an hour or two yourself? Another idea might be to vent your anger at the Leicestershire County Council for cutting library services in the first place and be thankful that you have a library to complain about.
Worst library I have ever been to! Took them over half hour just to give me a library card! The staff have no clue what they are doing!! Didn't even know how to work their own printer or computers! Loads of elderly staff with no training! Complete waste of time!! Do not go to this library if you are in a rush as you'l probably be in there all day! Disgusted!!
